1. Who We Are
MichaelMyers.AI LLC operates Grant Lens, a grant research and pipeline management platform for nonprofits, accessible at grant-lens.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect
Account data: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Organization profile: If you complete your org profile, we store your organization name, mission, location, focus areas, org type, and website. This data is used solely to personalize AI outputs within the Service.
Funder data: The funders, notes, ask amounts, and pipeline data you enter are stored in your account. This data belongs to you.
Usage data: We may collect basic usage information (pages visited, features used) to improve the Service. We do not track you across other websites.
Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs how payment data is handled.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the Service
- To personalize AI research outputs based on your org profile
- To send you transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts)
- To respond to support requests
- To improve the Service through aggregate, anonymized usage analysis
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
4. AI Processing
When you use AI features (research briefs, grant discovery, funder intelligence), your prompts and org profile data are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how that data is handled on their end. We do not send personally identifiable information to Anthropic beyond what you include in your org profile and funder notes.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your account data and funder data are stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use row-level security to ensure users can only access their own data.
No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete your data within 30 days. You may export your funder data at any time before deletion using the Export JSON feature.
7. Third-Party Services
Grant Lens uses the following third-party services:
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Anthropic — AI language model for research features
- Stripe — payment processing
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing their data practices.
8. Cookies
Grant Lens uses only essential cookies required for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You cannot opt out of session cookies without losing the ability to log in.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you — contact us at hello@grant-lens.com
- Export your funder data at any time via the Export JSON feature
- Correct inaccurate data by updating your account or org profile
- Delete your account and all associated data by contacting hello@grant-lens.com
If you are in the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under GDPR. Contact us to exercise them.
10. Children's Privacy
Grant Lens is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at hello@grant-lens.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
